Joh. Jos. Prüm 2006 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese Riesling (Mosel-Saar-Ruwer)

Cellar Selection

Some typical Prüm smelly notes are apparent on the nose, but there's also plenty of pineapple and pear scents, and the flavors really blossom on the palate; honeyed pineapple, melon and slate-like notes are sweet but balanced by tongue-tickling acids. Long on the finish, where it picks up additional mineral overtones. Should come into its own by 2016 and last 20–30 years thereafter. Joe Czerwinski
