The grape is rare in Oregon, and most commonly found in Central Europe, where it produces a spicy tannic somewhat rustic red. Here, it's rather thin, in both color and flavor, with dilute strawberry fruit. It's texturally most interesting, and that holds your attention through an otherwise ordinary finish.
