This is a barrel selection, seemingly chosen for its muscular aspect. The estate's characteristic sweet baking spices are amply in evidence, with ginger-cookie highlights. Fermented with native yeast and aged for 18 months in one-quarter new French oak, it should continue to drink well into the mid-2020s.
