John Barr Premium Reserve 17 Year Old Blended Scotch

The opening nosings uncover aromas of toffee, biscuit batter and buttered corn; the bouquet expands only slightly, offering slightly pinched scents of green tomatoes, green vegetables, mint, and cedar. The palate entry offers notes of mint baked apple pastry and tea leaves; the midpalate stage is smooth, biscuity, woody, grainy sweet and very toffee-like. Concludes sweet, satiny on the tongue, smoldering/warming, and resiny. P.P.
