John Duval Wines 2014 Eligo Shiraz (Barossa Valley)

#97 Top 100 Cellar Selections 2018
Return to List

John Duval's wines are rarely timid and rarely simple, although they do require some time for brooding. The 2014 Eligo offers plenty of attractive blue fruit, dark cherry, florals and cedar to ponder over. The palate is full bodied but elegant, with savory, tight-grained tannins. This should cellar beautifully. Drink 2019–2037. Christina Pickard
