John Duval Wines 2015 Entity Shiraz (Barossa)

Editors' Choice

From one of Barossa's Shiraz masters, this is an earthy, herbaceous and almost delicate rendition of the grape that is known for richness and power. This wine's focus is on red forrest berries, plums, black pepper and dried leaves. The herbaceousness really shines on the palate, which, thanks to lifted acidity and fine, savory, structured tannins, makes this more than drinkable now, though it's capable of aging nicely over the next decade, too. Drink now–2028. Christina Pickard
