John Duval Wines 2016 Eligo Shiraz (Barossa)

Cellar Selection

Duval delivers a wine that echoes the warmth of the vintage without losing the character of place. Rich, complex and heady aromas of blueberry, blackberry and plum cascade from the glass, followed by dried mint, bay leaves and charred cedar. The mouthfeel is creamy, lathered in luscious fruit and oak without either being overwhelming. The tannins are powerful but seamlessly integrated. Drink 2023–2040. Christina Pickard
