93pointsJohndrow Vineyards 2007 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)

Editors' Choice

Shows deep, concentrated flavors of blackberries and black currants, with classically fine, complex Napa tannins. It's 100% Cabernet, with 50% new oak, and although the label doesn't say so, the grapes come from a Howell Mountain vineyard. Beautiful now, and will develop over the next 6–8 years. Decant for hours if you open it now.
