Josef Jamek 2012 Smaragd Ried Hochrain Weissburgunder (Wachau)

A restrained nose just hints at ripeness: Comice pear perhaps? The palate is full-bodied but sinewy and one feels that the wine will open up in years to come, power is evident, so is deep fruit that still needs to blossom. The muscular structure is full of promise. Drink as of 2017. Anne Krebiehl MW
