Sour-apple-candy and lemon-peel aromas have an alluringly waxy tone to them. This is a wine of many twists and turns, though. On the palate, it's straight as an arrow, all bright acidity and power, but a salty note kicks in on the finish, leaving an overall impression of salted grapefruit. Each chapter is charming in its own right, but this wine may need a little time in bottle to settle into itself. Layla Schlack
