Joseph Drouhin 2003 Chorey-lès-Beaune

Chorey is known for its relatively light, cherry-scented wines, but in the drought vintage of 2003, this is an impressively dark effort, loaded with plums, black cherries and even a bit of chocolate fudge. It's full-bodied and a bit chunky, but nicely textured and shows good concentration and length.
