Joseph Phelps 2001 Viognier (Napa Valley)

Bold and striking, a powerfully flavored wine that manages to be balanced despite the size. Big, extracted flavors of apples and peaches and wildflowers drink dry and a little tannic, with a dusty mouthfeel. The finish is long and flavorful, but the lasting impressin is of style and class.
