92pointsJosmeyer 2014 Fondation Vieilles Vignes Pinot Gris (Alsace)

Pure and intense notes of red-cheeked, ripe pear and red apples are tinged with baking spice. These flavors become even more concentrated on the palate that is shot through with fresh acidity, providing a stimulating midpalate experience. The finish is a little warm but full-fruited. This wine needs a robust food counterpart to come into its focused, concentrated own. Anne Krebiehl MW
