Josmeyer 2016 Hengst Grand Cru Riesling (Alsace)

Yellow plum, soy sauce and yellow apple make for an intriguing flavor combination on the nose of this wine. The palate is rounded, with juicy apple notes backed with savory, earthy and salty depth. Soy notes take turns with yellow apple, thereby alternating tartness and ripeness, which creates lovely drama on the palate. The finish is dry, juicy and long. Drink 2020–2040. Anne Krebiehl MW
