These wines have struggled somewhat over the past few years, possibly due to the difficult vintages of '17 and '18, and the winemaking feels a little heavy-handed. This Chard is currently blanketed in green-tinged, buttery wood characters and ripe peach and citrus fruit. While the texture is creamy, the acidity feels angular and the fruit dense, making for a lack of harmony overall. Christina Pickard
