Julien Schaal 2017 Schoenenbourg Gypse Grand Cru Riesling (Alsace)

A lovely, very fresh and zesty notion of the palest lemon appears on the nose. That same lemon notion gets far more pronounced on the palate and expands with its measured freshness across the textured palate. There is something smooth and bright yet utterly enlivening on the concentrated core. The finish is dry and gives a serene sense of lemony refreshment. Drink now through 2038. Anne Krebiehl MW
