Fruit-forward, spicy and appealing, this is consistent with previous editions of this popular wine. Since 2005 is a particularly good year, this has more concentration and fruit power than usual. The tight blackberry core, wrapped in leaf and showing a lot of earthy flavors is particularly attractive. The oak is folded into the wine; finishes with focus, purity and balance.
