Winemaker: Danie Steytler. This Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend, with 25% Cabernet Franc, 6% Merlot, 7% Malbec and 6% Petit Verdot, opens with scents of sweet biltong, pepper, black currant leaf, licorice root and plum. The medium-weight mouth offers a spicy palate that's framed by fine yet gripping tannins and ample acidity. Accents of peppered berries and cigar box linger through the close. Drink 2017–2020.
