For two years running this basic Cabernet has been the laggard among the Kaiken wines, which are made by Montes S.A. of Chile. The '04 offers alcohol, rubbery black fruit and creamy oak and chocolate. What it doesn't have is finesse, complexity or style. Good as a simple quaffer but that's as far as it goes.
