Kamiak 2006 Cellar Select Red Wine Red (Columbia Valley (WA))

This value red is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. It's smooth and tastes of cherries, raspberries and salmonberries, with a nice kick from the natural acids. The tannins are lightly herbal and just chewy enough to add some welcome texture to the finish. Kamiak offers excellent flavor and vintage character for the price. Paul Gregutt
