Kason 2016 Old Vine Reserve Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

This presents simple blackberry fruit, with a touch of vanilla wafer. There's no hint of any new oak, though the wine was barrel aged for 18 months. Indigenous yeast was used. It fades quickly, leaving a tart, astringent, rather unpleasant aftertaste. Paul Gregutt
