Ken Brown 2016 Rita's Crown Vineyard Pinot Noir (Sta. Rita Hills)

Rich blackberry aromas meet with loamy soil, wet rocks and pie crust on the nose of this bottling from a vineyard in the geographic center of the appellation. The palate is rich with berry, mace and clove flavors, yet framed by a solid structure and brisk acidity that starts to poke out on the finish. Matt Kettmann
