Ken Wright 2017 Carter Vineyard Pinot Noir (Eola-Amity Hills)

One of a pair of Ken Wright-owned Eola-Amity Hills vineyards, the Carter dates back to the early 1980s. Here are light touches of leather and earth, with ripe fruit flavors of cherry. There's a bit of cherry pit also in the mix, and as with all the KW 2017s, the definition and proportions are balanced and harmonious. Paul Gregutt
