Ken Wright 2018 Savoya Vineyard Pinot Noir (Yamhill-Carlton)

Black cherry jumps out, with some Dr Pepper accents. This is a dark, spicy wine with appealing sweetness to the fruit and the spices. They are backed with a phenolic frame of sharp and bitter herbs, nicely positioned and proportionate. The overall impact is to enhance the depth and detail of the wine. This is muscular, substantial, slightly earthy and just tannic enough to age gracefully. Paul Gregutt
