Khareba 2010 Monastery Qvevri Wine Tsitska (Georgia)

This deep gold-colored wine has a nose of apple pie and toffee. Flavors of nectarine, peach and bitter almond are set among hefty tannins. The finish falls a bit flat, and bright flavors present on the palate are outweighed by a persistent bitter note. Mike DeSimone
