Kilikanoon 2008 The Lackey Shiraz (South Australia)

The 2008 vintage was a tough one at Kilikanoon according to winemaker Kevin Mitchell, but this second label has turned out well. It's full-bodied and richly textured, with notes of tar and black olive up front, turning warm and slightly raisiny on the finish and marked with a touch of bitter coffee. Drink now. Joe Czerwinski
