This Cab-Shiraz blend has settled into itself with age. But it still offers oodles of plush plum and dark-berry fruit, supported by licorice, dried herb, a warm, dusty earth note and an always-present, charred-yet-sweet oak note. Somewhat astringent tannins, oak and acidity dominate the palate. Nevertheless, there's plenty of fruit to satisfy the big-red lovers out there. Christina Pickard
