King Estate 1998 Chardonnay (Oregon)

Broad and obvious in its appeal, with peach marmalade and applesauce tastes and saccharine sweetness. There also seems to be a smoky vanilla streak from some kind of oak. It's a country-style common wine and there's not much going on beyond the fruit.
