King Estate 2017 Nicholas Vineyard Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

Spicy red fruits are front and center in this red, with plum and cherry in full force. Still young and tightly wound, the acidity remains a bit sharp, putting the fruit into crisp focus. The wine was aged 18 months in 29% new oak, adding some pretty baking spices to the finish. Drink 2022–2028. Paul Gregutt
