King Estate 2019 Johnson School Vineyard Pinot Gris (Willamette Valley)

This Chehalem Mountain vineyard has ripened its fruit to a perfect pitch. It retains a bit of the grassy note sometimes found in variety but avoids the more aggressive pyrazine flavors that can lead into bell pepper. There's juicy citrus fruit, crisp apple and a touch of lemon zest, along with ample acidity. Paul Gregutt
