Kirkland 2017 Barolo

Red berry, blue flower and forest floor aromas along with whiffs of dark spice and botanical herbs form the nose. Polished and linear, the elegantly structured, somewhat austere palate features raspberry, star anise and a hint of blood orange. Tightly knit, close-grained tannins sneak up on you and grip the finish. Best 2025–2030. Kerin O’Keefe
