Kloster Eberbach 2016 Berg Schlossberg GG SpÀtburgunder (Rheingau)

Sourced from the sun-drenched RĂŒdesheimer Berg vineyards, this full-bodied, lavishly textured Pinot Noir exhibits the richness and concentration of Rheingau's best red-wine region. It's a toasty, decadently spiced wine matured 15 months in German oak barrels but maintains a pulsating core of red-currant and red-cherry flavors. Plush on the palate and soft in tannins, it's ideal drinking now but should hold well through 2026. Anna Lee C. Iijima
