Kosta Browne 2019 Mt. Carmel Pinot Noir (Sta. Rita Hills)

Dark cherry and plum aromas are cut by intense spice scents of mace and star anise on the nose of this bottling from an iconic vineyard in the heart of this appellation. The palate is detailed in layers of rich black cherry, pan-toasted star anise and black cardamom, with waves of acidity, texture and spice undulating into a long finish. Matt Kettmann
