Kudos 2019 Hyland Vineyard Pinot Noir (McMinnville)

The Hyland vineyard plays the starring role in any number of winery lineups. The fruit for this bottle seems to come from younger plantings rather than the old-vine material reserved for pricier examples. Flavors favor purple berries, backed by a wealth of savory side notes powering the expressive finish. The tannins bring hints of black olive and dried tobacco. This is a good value with medium-term aging potential. Paul Gregutt
