93pointsKuentz-Bas 2016 Eichberg Trois Châteaux Grand Cru Gewurztraminer (Alsace)

Opulent notes of ripe peach and pear jump from the glass. On the palate they are beautifully tempered by the zesty freshness of ripe juicy citrus. Think mandarin and clementine peel and flesh. This is off dry but very well balanced, striking joy with its exuberant, expressive fruit notes. A touch of peach peel and stone bitterness sets a lovely pleasant counterpoint to the richness and colors the off-dry finish. Anne Krebiehl MW
