93pointsKuentz-Bas 2016 Florimont Trois Châteaux Grand Cru Pinot Gris (Alsace)

The nose is still shy, giving a mere hint of earthy pear but the palate comes alive with juicy fresh ripe, yellow pear. There is a wonderfully poised balance to all of this. There is a fluid medium body and restrained power. All of this gives the impression of understatement since this rounded unobtrusive wine truly delivers with its integral balance and its off-dry finish. Drink until 2028. Anne Krebiehl MW
