Kumusha 2020 The Flame Lily White (Slanghoek)

Ripe yellow melon, baked apple, lemon custard and pear-tart aromas all abound on the nose of this rich, golden-hued wine made from 55% Roussanne, 15% Chenin Blanc, 12% Viognier, 9% Sémillon and 9% Colombard. Those notes all carry through to the medium-weight mouth, where additional tones of grilled pineapple and peach add even more fruity depth and richness. Ample acidity keeps the concentration in check, while a subtle texture lends some framework and interest through the close. Lauren Buzzeo
