Kurt Angerer 2011 St. Laurent (Niederösterreich)

Brooding and mysterious—giving away just a hint of white pepper, dark plum and floral notes of peony—this richly purple wine gives up more of its secrets on the palate, revealing ripe plum fruit and sweeter spice from oak. Tannins are plentiful, ripe and supple, while lovely pepperiness carries through from start to finish. Anne Krebiehl MW
