89pointsKurtz Family 2004 Lunar Block Shiraz (Barossa)

Heavily oaked, with toasty notes dominating the aromas and plenty of chocolate, coffee and dark toast apparent on the palate as well. There is a streak of bright raspberries lurking beneath the surface, and if they emerge with more time, this rating will prove conservative but there are no guarantees. This is a full-bodied, creamy-textured wine that I would opt to drink over the next few years. Joe Czerwinski
