La Chouette 2015 Reserve Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

A bit disappointing, this tannic wine spent 17 months in half new oak. Its light rhubarb and berry flavors are overtaken by astringent tannins that leave a bitter aftertaste. More bottle age may help smooth them out. Paul Gregutt
