This is a bold 70/30 blend of Grenache and Syrah that's plump with juicy blackberry and cassis flavors. While youthful in fruit expression on both nose and palate, it's edged by savory veins of balsamic vinegar and burnt caramel as well as a pert acidic spine. Soft, charry tannins and a touch of allspice linger long on the finish. It's a bit closed and nervous still but should hit peak from 2022–2029 and hold longer still. Anna Lee C. Iijima
