La Réserve Saint Dominique 2017 Red (Lirac)

Notes of preserved plum and licorice are ripe but restrained from nose to finish in this full-bodied, freshly concentrated red. A blend of Grenache (65%), Syrah (30%) and Mourvèdre (5%), the wine is silky but briskly balanced, finishing on a twist of tart cassis and fine but persistent tannins. Best now–2025. Anna Lee C. Iijima
