Packed in an extremely heavy bottle, this has aromas of French oak, vanilla and coconut. The firm palate offers dried sour cherry, raisin and oak-driven spice alongside raspy tannins that leave and astringent finish. It lacks the fruit richness needed to stand up to the oak.
