This is the first release for Prima, which the winery calls its “ultra premium wine.” Where most such super-reserves are bigger, bolder, riper than the rest of the lineup, this one is lighter, more elegant and refined. In part that's a function of the cool 2010 vintage. It's tart and already moving from primary to secondary fruit flavors, showing strawberry and watermelon, a touch of herb, seed and light chocolate. Drink now through 2018.
