Lachini 2017 Cuvée Giselle Pinot Noir (Chehalem Mountains)

This wine is unyieldingly stiff and tannic, with drying astringency from the very start. There's medium-bodied plum and cherry fruit but the herbal tannins seem to dominate. It was aged for 18 months in two-thirds new French oak barrels. Paul Gregutt
