L'Aietta 2014 Brunello di Montalcino

Racy and fragrant, this linear red opens with alluring scents of wild red berry, rose, tilled soil, new leather and a whiff of camphor. Vibrant and focused, the palate, has an ethereal elegance, delivering red cherry, strawberry, star anise and white pepper alongside firm acidity and taut but refined tannins. It closes on an almost salty mineral note. Give it a few more years to unwind. Drink 2022–2029. Kerin O’Keefe
