Laird 1999 Laird Family Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)

Full and musclebound, with licorice and leather notes to the nose. The palate is juicy and bright, featuring ample berry fruit and notes of chocolate. The finish is all fruit and little subtlety, hardly different from blackberry jam. Overall this is a creamy mouthful of wine. Michael Schachner
