Lake Missoula 2003 Deluge Red (Yakima Valley)

Kestrel vineyard grapes (75% Cabernet Sauvignon/25% Cabernet Franc) are sourced to make this wine. This follow-up to the inaugral 2002 seems tannic, hard, and volatile. Give it plenty of air and it smoothes out some, but still hits that hard, green, tannic wall. Chewy, highly astringent and disjointed. The plastic cork seems out of place in a wine at this price point. Paul Gregutt
