Fresh and fruity, with a hint of sugared doughnut. Bright pear and apple fruit makes for a nice wine, and interestingly, it closes with an earthiness that is much like amontillado and/or mushroom. Powerful and poised, and quite nice for a Loire Valley sparkler. Michael Schachner
