A whiff of popcorn adds character to the nose, which is dominated by white stone fruits and apple. The palate offers pear, apple and melon flavors, and then more popcorn-tinged oak. Even the finish is long and woody. If you like a ripe, well-crafted Chard with ample oak, this is for you. Fans of stripped down, natural Chards may find it too bolstered.
